Channel 7's Phobia

A couple of months ago, Channel 7 backed away from showing a kiss between two girls on Home & Away. Under pressure from the public (re: Christian groups and the ‘moral majority’), they opted to downplay its lesbian storyline.

Apparently it wasn’t appropriate for a family-friendly program.

It’d be interesting to know whether Channel 10 received ANY complaints at all after airing an episode of The Simpsons yesterday at 6pm in which Homer Simpson was kissed by another man.

Is it that people generally don’t care unless the Herald Sun makes a big deal about it?
