They're back
Pyjamas, no school, a bowl of cereal, and trashy boy cartoons. Saturday morning cartoons are back! Kudos, Channel 10.
Many of my peers have a similar complaint: there are no cartoons on Saturday morning anymore. Now, when I consider that complaint, the immediate impulse is to mention Saturday Disney. But, that’s not exactly what they mean. When my peers talk about cartoons, they’re recounting their experience of growing up in the mid-80′s where Saturday morning cartoons were little more than toy ads with spandex-clad superheroes, GI Joes, and robots that are more than meets the eye. Boy cartoons. Boy cartoons.

With 24 hour cable cartoon networks, video games, home video, and assorted other distractions in the world, the traditional boy cartoons on a Saturday morning up and vanished.
As of a few weeks ago, Channel 10 seems to have come good in restoring this television institution with their new line-up.
6am: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
6:30am Dork Hunters From Outer Space
7am Zorro Generation Z
7:30am Spectacular Spider-Man
8am Transformers
It feels just like 1986 all over again.
