X-Files star David Duchovny has entered rehab in a bid to control his sexual urges.
The actor, who is married to Tea Leoni, has a sex addiction, according to his lawyer, Stanton Stein.
In a statement the attorney has handed to website People.com, Duchovny says, “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”
Ironically, the 48-year-old, who wed actress Leoni in 1997, plays a sex-loving author in his raunchy hit U.S. cable show Californication.
Duchovny and Leoni have two children – Madelaine West, nine, and Kyd, six.

I’m still dubious about a story that starts off wanting the girl, then getting the girl back, and then….. the narrative continues?
Normally that would be the end, and I suspect (as a fan) that there will be such a marked difference in the show that it will almost be incomparable.
That’s not to say it will be bad, I just don’t know how good an idea it is.

It will be interesting to see if they pull it off. (Not like that.)

As much I’ve liked him over the years, I’m a little afraid that the real Duchovny is kind of a tool and he just does a good job of seeming like a cool guy sometimes. Sort of like Hank on Californication.

Superficially charming?

Hey all! Californication is a great show! To bad the second season is already gone, i guess we will have to wait for the third one. What sites do you have about californication. I visit californication
especialy because is has all the songs from evry episode. Take care! -
Well I just finished watching the second season (which ends with the announcement of season three to commence in 2009). Season 2 was definitely inferior to Season 1 – the plot contrivances bringing Hank and Karen together and apart and together and apart were annoying and unnatural. There wasn’t much of crazy Madeline Zima. Hank becomes less likeable because you start to wonder how sorry you can continue to feel for someone who continually “finds himself” in these awkward situations.
However, as with Season 1 the secondary characters saved the show, especially Marcy Runkle – always entertaining, the manipulative and oblivious hippie self-help guru, and super-producer Lou Ashby.
Overall I’d say it’s far from being the worst thing on TV, is reliable for at least a couple of laughs each episode and the cast are pretty to look at. I’ll certainly watch Season 3 but I suspect I won’t enjoy it if the decline continues exponentially – especially given the premise is the same except now Hank has full custody of Becca.

Why does it sound like a bad idea?
