The episodes are displayed in widescreen, but are a cropped version of the original image. The show wasn't shot with widescreen in mind, so viewers are better off watching the original 4:3 image for a proper shot composition.

That said, the widescreen actually doesn't look too bad, considering that it has been cropped.

Wow - saw it tonight and thought you should all know - it's in Widescreen, for those who don't know - the DVDs aren't even in Widescreen, Neither Ten nor TV1 have ever aired a widescreen episode and up till I thought they didn't exist.

Obviously Nine went and got some new prints!

Never expected Ten to let Seinfeld go, but then again it's probably passed its profitable life - with Ten last relegating it to weekend afternoons, and the series has been available on DVD for some time, it's no doubt outlived its purpose at Ten and as for Nine taking it on, well they've made a number of dubious programming choices in the last year or so, haven't they?

Seinfeld is seemingly only showing in Brisbane tonight too. Another wonder why Nine would go to the bother of taking the series if it's only going to be used as filler.
