The Sopranos – Don't Stop Believin'
Concluding a popular television series on your own terms is not an easy task for any television producer. More often than not, a show is cancelled without ever being a success, or simply fades away into obscurity (I just wish According To Jim would hurry up). So, when a massive series winds up after several years on air, maintaining its popularity, there is usually a great deal of focus placed on the conclusion.
Sometimes, the end of these series can be memorable. Seinfeld, and M*A*S*H* immediately spring to mind. Often, the end can be humdrum and forgettable, with the show simply fading away. For example, can ANYBODY tell me how 90210 ended? We all remember Brenda losing her virginity to Dylan, but the end is a mystery.

Tonight, The Sopranos screens its final episode on Australian television. A pop culture phenomenon, The Sopranos ended almost exactly how creator David Chase wanted it to end. This resulted in angering a good number of its viewers. But, the closing scene certainly is memorable and has quickly become just as great an aspect of pop culture as the series itself was.
And so, today on Televised Revolution, we bring you that final scene. Now, if you have ever watched the series casually, I implore you to watch tonight on Channel 9 as the show unfolds. Don’t let this ruin it for you.
David Chase has since given an interview about the series finale and its a great read. I’d suggest letting the finale sink in a bit, then take a read here.

I’m not sure whether to be disturbed or aroused at this display of 90210 affection.

“Can ANYBODY tell me how 90210 ended?”
Surely this is a personal invitation to me.
Donna and David got married.
Dylan rocked up (to Luke Perry’s final desperate shame)and they all pretended he and Kelly were meant for each other, and they got back together at the wedding.
Val also turned up again but no one cares about her.
Brandon did not attend, but sent a video message in which it was revealed that he was a politician in Washington. He said to say ‘hi’ to Kelly. I think Brenda got a token mention.
Steve was already married to Janet and they had a kid and ran a newspaper together.
And the episode ended with the remaining pathetic gang dancing together in a circle at the reception, mirroring the end of the Spring Dance episode in the first season when Brenda gave it up to Dylan, Kelly and Brenda wore the same dress, Kelly was a Spring Princess and tried to crack onto Brandon, Donna was still only there for comic relief so she wore a Scarlett O’Hara dress she couldn’t sit down in, Andrea and her bad perm didn’t get invited and had a ridiculous Prom Night horror movie hallucination about going on a murderous rampage, and Steve got drunk and called Kelly a slut. Good times!
