Televised Revolution vol. 1 draws to a close
There are changes afoot in the world of Televised Revolution.
On August 26, Dan, Simon, and Dennis will present the last episode of Televised Revolution on Brisbane’s community radio station 4ZzZ. Are we going away? Heavens no. Try and stop us.
So, what’s the deal? From the first week of September, Televised Revolution will now be produced exclusively as a podcast. The shape and structure of it may change somewhat. We’ll be able to have more control over the quality of the audio (the number of times we’ve had recording problems has been, well, undesirable), we’ll have more opportunities to toy with the format of the program, plus, it opens up the doors for more varied content.
From a production standpoint, we have a super sweet facility that we’ll be recording at (more on that later). We’ll also have a bit more time to toy with our content, meaning Televised Revolution should sound more coherent and, heaven forbid, thoughtful. It’s a move that is practically all win.
None of us are keen to say goodbye to our radio audience, but we do hope that they’ll come with us to the new format show. 4ZzZ have been good to us, but it is time to spread our wings and embrace the opportunities that the world of 2010 media distribution provides.
Televised Revolution vol. 2 is on the horizon. We hope you’ll stay tuned.

Great news guys. Can’t wait to listen to the podcast!

Wow! But the Triple Zed studios are so…. so… *authentic*!
Wish you all the best – hope maybe you’ll have me as a guest podcaster one day.

I reckon podcast will work better… I mean, you podcast the show anyway, but I think it allows you to change it up.
Short eps instead of an hour?
Good luck!

I know.. the toilets at Zed would probably have tested anyone’s tolerance. Paper gone?
Still.. I hate goodbyes. And faecesbook.
Go on, stop being so damn positive and say a simple clean goodbye like real men!! Why do you hurt us with your empty promises?? Damn you all!….
Not bad timing though, as I am not going to be able to listen live @7pm anymore. Maybe I’ll cast the pod.. live web radio no good? Europe has some good free networks.
So all the best chums, and the propogation of your impossible dream to make television somehow relevent again. You have entertained, as I understand a passion for a lost cause, and only mildy confounded one with your insistence on covering the finer points of PVR’s, isp tv and … yes that actually is your show. That’s the only crticism: if I want the ins and outs of a dogs arse on PVR’s et al, there is our friend, mr search engine.
But it’s not easy doing a live show – I was listening for the bits in between. May there be plenty more awkward silences and oblique sulleness in your broadcast futures.
(Off-topic: where are you Kuttsywood? Whatever became of Ian Skippen’s best spokesperson? Probably not kean on faecesbook either)
