Christmas TV Highlights
It’s Christmas Day. For some people, it involves rushing about between several family homes. But, for others, it means spending an entire day at home with one family. Or worse yet, blobbed out on the couch alone.
As with the rest of life, television is always there to provide.

So, what’s worth watching this Dec 25? Televised Revolution is here to assist:
At 9am, ABC1 delivers three Wallace & Grommit empisodes back to back. Bless them.
9.02am
Wallace & Gromit: A Grand Day Out
9.25am
Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers
9.54am
Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave
7Two and Go! are sticking fairly closely to their standard daily schedules throughout the morning. Go! delivers a few 60′s sitcoms and cartoons, but for the TV viewer with few choices, it’s hard to go past Tom Magnum and Jessica Fletcher.
10am
Murder, She Wrote
11am
Magnum P.I.
The ABC are delivering with some decent films throughout the afternoon. Again, nothing outstanding, but in the face of an overabundance of Christmas cheer, sometimes you take refuge where you can.
1.05pm
The Man Who Knew Too Much
3.03pm
The Paleface
4.32pm
Birth Of The Blues
Alternatively, SBS1 are airing the Roberto Benigni 2003 version of Pinocchio.
1pm
Pinocchio
The evening actually delivers quite a few really solid films. Of particular note:
Elf (ch 9, 7:30pm)
The Spanish Apartment (SBS2, 9pm)
Bad Santa (Go!, 9:30pm)
Spirited Away (SBS1, 9:45pm)
Jerry Maguire (ch 10, 9:50pm)
The Breakfast Club (Ch7, 10pm)
And, if you haven’t passed out by then, you should indulge in the Festivus episode of Seinfeld on Go! Yes, Festivus is actually on Dec 23, meaning Go! missed the mark on this, but it’s a cracker of an episode.
