Go! has been on the air now since Sunday night, disappointing Australia with its severe pixelation problems. It seems that Channel 9 haven’t allocated enough bandwidth to the channel to (seemingly) preserve the high quality of their Nine SD and HD channels. Problematically, though, the channel is barely watchable. You know there is a problem when the picture quality of a 175mb avi file of The Big Bang Theory is of a higher quality than that of a commercial broadcast.
Some folks though are having trouble even getting access to the Go! channel at all. Channel 9 have been goodly enough to provide us at Televised Revolution with a video featuring advice on how to scan your TV so that the channel will appear.
To Channel 9′s credit, they’ve also set-up a hotline for anyone experiencing problems with the re-scan: 1300 152 231.
The quality of the broadcast at the moment is downright embarrassing. They need to fix it, fast.

The reception is now bad enough here that I’m considering a trip up to the roof to try and squeeze the antenna for all it’s worth. Then again, do I really want to jump on the roof for Dog the Bounty Hunter?
The PQ still looks bad a week later. Nine don’t care. They’ve given up.
i tried those steps but i still cant get GO!, we dont live in a regional area or anything like that, theres no reason we should have trouble getting it but scan only brings up all the channels except go! and nine.. we could get nine before we bought the set top box..
I’ve found that different times of day and weather patterns change the signal strength for some stations at my place, to the point where on a cool evening, I have to revert to watching 7 on the analogue. Annoying as I only watch the channel for Packed to the Rafters….
Hi TheMAN. I’d recommend testing your box at another location. There could be a problem with your receiver.
That said, when I moved into my current apartment, I could not get SBS at all, despite a very clear analogue signal. After MONTHS of playing around, I upgraded my aerial cable and suddenly I scored SBS. I’d first check your STB and see that it doesn’t have a problem, then check all the components in your setup.

i get everything but any channel provided by 9. :l
and the only one of my old channels i have is sbs, and theres about 5 of them.
ive tried manual tuning but its not working.
There are a lot of areas that may not get coverage, so it still comes down to where you live and your antenna plays a role in your ability to watch TV more so than on analogue.
It is still a massive pain for me, and I can actually see the broadcast towers from my house!
